The government has announced that every pupil will be tested on their times tables before leaving primary school. Pupils in Year 6 will be expected to know their tables up to 12 x 12 and will be tested using an "on-screen check".The checks will be piloted in 80 primary schools this summer 2016, before being rolled out across the country in 2017. The "on-screen check" will involve children completing multiplication challenges against the clock, which will be scored instantly.
Below are our own 'on-screen checks' that your child can use to practise completing multiplication challenges against the clock. (The EXPERT checks have a shorter time limit)
